    Job Description

    Principal Account Manager

We are seeking a self-starter and strategic sales leader to serve as the Principal Account Manager for one of AWS"s most exciting and consequential ISV partnerships - a $1B+ ARR business with a market-making customer at the forefront of data, analytics, and AI. The ISV segment is one of the fastest-moving, highest-growth spaces at AWS, and your customer sits at the center of it - reshaping how enterprises build and scale on the cloud. In this role, you will manage a single, high-impact account, diving deep to develop strategically important CxO relationships while leveraging your technical sales background to engage software developers and IT architects. Key responsibilities include driving revenue and increasing market share, developing and executing a fast-moving territory coverage plan, consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly revenue targets, and growing the AWS footprint within the account. You will create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services, maintain a robust sales pipeline, accelerate customer adoption through well-developed go-to-market strategies, engage cross-functional AWS teams and SI partners to deliver results, and ensure customer satisfaction.

    A day in the life

You will be a critical part of a team focused on increasing adoption of Amazon Web Services within one of our largest, fastest-growing, and most strategically important accounts in the ISV portfolio. As a Principal Account Manager at AWS, you will have the exciting opportunity to directly impact the growth and shape of emerging technologies - driving revenue, adoption, and market saturation alongside a customer that is defining entirely new categories. The pace is fast, the stakes are high, and early and continued cloud adoption is critical in enabling this customer to innovate at scale. You will be at the center of making that happen by engaging the broader AWS partner organization and cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful customer outcomes.

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
