Job Title: Platform/DevOps Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Platform/DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in software development, operations, and cloud technologies. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless integration of development and operations, enhancing our platform's reliability, scalability, and performance.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure best practices in Agile methodologies are followed.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and optimize resource utilization.
Develop and maintain documentation for processes, systems, and configurations.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand ups, and retrospectives.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members on DevOps practices and Agile principles.
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our platform.
Mandatory Skills:
Strong knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies.
Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps.
Experience in working with microservices architecture.
Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
15+ years of experience in software development and operations, with a focus on DevOps practices.
Proven track record of successfully implementing Agile methodologies in a DevOps environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment.
