Global Service Resources is looking for a contractor in Los Angeles.

Job Title: Principal Data Engineer 961
Location: Alhambra, CA 91803 - Remote
Shift: 7:15 AM - 6:00 PM
Assignment type: Temporary - 12 months w/ high chance of extension or hire
Pay rate: $70-$75/hour

Description:

• Design, implement, and manage data infrastructure.
• Lead data integration, quality, operations, platform architecture, and governance.
• Apply strong communication, analytical, business, and customer service skills.
• Manage multiple tasks with strong organization and time management.
• Work independently and collaboratively.
• Ensure high-quality work and mentor junior data engineers and database administrators.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Databricks experience in data engineering, integration, warehousing, and cloud computing.
• 5 years of experience developing Python data pipelines.
• 3+ years designing Databricks Medallion Lakehouse architecture and applying data governance and quality practices.
• 1 year of data modeling experience.
• 1 year of Azure resource management experience.
• 1 year automating Azure data resources using DataOps.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field; equivalent additional experience may substitute year-for-year.
