We are seeking Principal Marketing Analysts to work on a team at our client site in NYC (Midtown West). The role will be onsite two days per week, or more if you prefer, with 3 days being remote.

This role is contract to hire, so while working for Roth Staffing (Ledgent Tech is a division of Roth), the rate range is $69.71 to 91.35. Upon conversion, the salary range is 145,000 t0 190,000.

Marketing department is seeking a highly experienced and analytically rigorous professional to join the Marketing Analytics team as a PrincipalMarketing Analyst. This role is designed for someone who operates with a high degree of autonomy and strategic influence, translating complex marketing and customer data into executive-ready insights that shape execution decisions.

At the Principal level, the analyst is expected to thrive in ambiguity, independently frame decision-critical questions, and proactively surface insights before they are requested. The role balances strategic thought leadership with hands-on analytical execution, serving as a trusted advisor to senior marketing stakeholders while also elevating analytical rigor, standards, and storytelling across the team.

In a Go-to-Market (GTM) support capacity, this role serves as the primary embedded analytics partner for a designated line of business, translating business objectives into clear analytical questions, success metrics, and measurement plans. The role proactively mobilizes and aligns the right analytical resources (e.g., measurement, experimentation, and reporting/BI partners) to solve business problems and to support planning, launch, and post-launch readouts with timely, decision-ready insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary analytics point of contact for a marketing function, translating objectives into clear analytical asks and success metrics.
  • Proactively mobilize and align analytical resources (e.g., measurement, experimentation, reporting) to solve problems and support launch/readout cadences.
  • Lead high impact marketing analyses across channels, connecting performance metrics to go-to-market strategy and focusing on decision support rather than routine reporting.
  • Independently frame ambiguous business questions into decision-ready analytical approaches and recommendations.
  • Design, standardize, and scale advanced analytical frameworks (e.g., segmentation, funnel analysis, channel, decomposition analyses, business case analysis).
  • Select and synthesize data based on decision needs, proactively identifying data gaps, limitations, and risks.
  • Apply deep statistical and analytical judgment, critically evaluating assumptions, methodologies, and decision risk.
  • Establish and uphold best practices for data quality, QA, documentation, and reproducibility; identify and correct issues before stakeholder delivery.
  • Craft executive-ready narratives that translate complex analysis into clear implications, tradeoffs, and recommended actions.
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to senior marketing stakeholders, influencing strategy, prioritization, and investment decisions.
  • Coach and mentor analysts on technical rigor, business framing, and effective data storytelling.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset by actively seeking and applying feedback, continuously strengthening analytical approaches, and testing/iterating on new methods to improve decision impact.
  • Manage multiple strategic initiatives concurrently, setting realistic expectations and proactively communicating risks and dependencies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or similar).
  • 7+ years of experien
