Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

Twin Cities Automation (TCA) is seeking a talented and dynamic Principal Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in designing automation equipment. The ideal candidate can work well in a small company environment, collaborate with colleagues, and easily handle various roles and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Creating conceptual designs and detailed CAD models for quoting purposes, ensuring accuracy and feasibility.
  

• Developing innovative designs for both integration into existing equipment and the creation of new turn-key solutions.
  

• Maintaining a meticulous bill of materials to facilitate efficient procurement and assembly processes.
  

• Applying problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues as they arise.
  

• Building strong relationships with clients, serving as a primary point of contact and addressing their needs effectively.
  

• Updating and managing project schedules to ensure timely completion and delivery.
  

• Being flexible and willing to undertake additional duties as assigned to support company objectives and initiatives.
  

Requirements

Desired Qualifications:  

• Associates or Higher Degree
  

• Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in designing automation equipment.
  

• Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential.
