Overview Program Chief – Development and Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) contracts for a proprietary program. The role serves as the primary technical interface to the customer, leading technical activities, and ensuring the program meets technical, cost, and schedule objectives.Responsibilities Serve as the main technical point of contact with the customer, accountable for meeting technical requirements and program scope.Direct technical system‑level trade studies and hold design authority approval.Ensure engineering processes are followed and liaise with Program Management Team (PMT) leads to achieve technical goals.Document and capture lessons learned throughout the program lifecycle.Own technical project execution from Design & Development through Production, providing guidance to multidisciplinary engineering teams.Coordinate project staffing, develop staffing forecasts, and manage risks & opportunities throughout the project.Track, report, and analyze project health metrics (Earned Value, Requirements, Test Burndown, Software/Hardware Discovery, Quality).Present project status to multiple levels of leadership and serve as the primary technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.Support pursuit & order capture activities, including bidding, estimation, proposal responses, work breakdown structure, statement of work, technical design approach, and project schedule development.Evaluate and document current and future architectures to solve business problems.Qualifications Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5years.Previous leadership experience (Project or People Management).Systems, design, or test engineering experience preferred.Experience with Earned Value Management.Customer communication and management experience.Prior programmatic experience (Program Management, Project Management) preferred.Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Three weeks of vacation for newly hired employees.Generous 401(k) plan with employer matching and separate retirement contribution, including a Lifetime Income Strategy option.Tuition reimbursement program.Student loan repayment program.Life, disability, and optional additional coverages.Birth, adoption, parental leave benefits, Ovia Health, fertility, and family planning support.Autism benefit, employee assistance plan.Health incentives and wellness rewards.Telehealth and virtual doctor visits.Child and elder care services.Additional benefits as described in the full offer.Equal Opportunity Employer Statement RTX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
