Principal Software Engineer

As a Principal Software Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems and solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency in the aerospace industry. You will work within cross-functional teams on cutting-edge projects that transform the way aircraft operate. Your experience in software engineering will be instrumental in shaping the future of aerospace technology.

You will report directly to our Director of Engineering, working out of Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development and delivery of cutting-edge solutions that support Honeywell's aerospace initiatives, helping to drive innovation and maintain our leadership in the industry.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience working in various application areas supporting Avionics functions, Navigation and Airborne Surveillance (TCAS, Transponder, ADS-B, DME, UAT).
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Assembly
• Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
• Deep understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles.
• Ability to manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies effectively.

The annual base salary range for this position is $190,000-213,500 . Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
