Principal Transmission Line Engineer
About the Role: FindTalent is seeking a highly skilled Principal Transmission Line Engineer for a leading engineering firm in the Southeast. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex transmission line projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and analysis of high-voltage transmission lines (69kV – 500kV).
Oversee project execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
Conduct structural analysis using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and other industry-standard software.
Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
Prepare project documentation, including design reports, specifications, and construction support documents.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain.
7+ years of experience in transmission line engineering.
Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and other transmission line design tools.
Strong knowledge of NESC, ASCE, and other relevant standards.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with renewable energy integration and grid modernization projects.
Strong project management and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
