Our Client a leading healthcare provider dedicated to improving health and inspiring hope in its communities.We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Printer Deployment Technician to support the installation, deployment, relocation, and maintenance of printers and multifunction devices at client sites for 3 months until the end of the year. Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
Site leadership and coordination
- Act as the site's single point of contact during implementation.
- Lead onsite implementation resources, including Xerox carriers, third-party installers, Office Analysts and trainers.
- Coordinate deployment schedules with project managers, site contacts and end users.
- Report site progress, exceptions and issues to the Implementation Manager or Implementation Coordinator.
Delivery, placement and installation
- Confirm equipment deliveries are accurate and resolve problems with defective devices.
- Unbox, assemble and prepare equipment for deployment.
- Place devices exactly as shown on the approved Future State Design floor maps.
- Install, configure and program printers, copiers and MFDs to client requirements, including TCP/IP and network setup.
- Test all functions and verify print quality on new, moved and unchanged devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware and connectivity issues.
Moves and removals
- Disconnect, relocate and reconnect devices according to the Future State Design and asset disposition plan.
- Coordinate Xerox and third-party equipment moves on site.
- Take removal-disposition devices off the client network and move them to the client's designated staging area.
Asset tagging and documentation
- Make sure every new, moved and unchanged Xerox device in the facility is asset tagged.
- Complete the Installation Checklist for every new, moved, unchanged and removed device: make, model, serial number, MAC address, IP address and location.
- Keep installation records and asset data accurate and up to date.
Professional conduct
- Keep a professional appearance and give excellent customer service on site.

Qualifications
Education, experience and certification
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of technical service experience with printers, copiers, computers or other IT hardware.
- CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation.
Technical skills
- Strong understanding of printer, copier, fax and scanner configuration.
- Working knowledge of networking protocols and print system requirements.
- Ability to program printers and MFDs and pull configuration information from them.
- Ability to read floor plans and position devices accurately to an approved design.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and with laptops, tablets or mobile devices for documentation and reporting.
Professional skills
- Clear communication and strong customer-facing skills.
- Sound problem solving and analytical skills, including spotting and reporting exceptions.
- Strong organization, with the ability to prioritize work and meet project timelines.
- Leadership on moderate-sized projects, plus the ability to take direction from the Implementation Team.
- Composure under pressure and when plans change.
- Negotiation skills and creativity in resolving site issues.
- Works well independently and as part of a team, and owns client satisfaction with deliverables.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Additional technical certifications such as MCSE or CNE.
- Experience with HP, Xerox, Canon, Ricoh, Lexmark or similar printer platforms.
- Experience on large-scale hardware deployment or refresh projects.
- Familiarity with asset management and inventory tracking systems.
Work environment, travel and physical requirements
- Work is based at client sites, including office and manufacturing areas.
- Extensive travel across the US, sometimes at the same customer site for several weeks in a row.
- Some early morning, evening and weekend work or travel, depending on deployment schedules.
- Travel costs are paid up front by the employee and reimbursed through expense reports.
- Regularly lift, carry, push and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, walk long distances and stand for extended periods.
- Safely transport equipment to and from deployment locations.
Compensation and benefits
- $25 per hour.
- Benefits package available based on employment status.
