Day Pitney's Private Client Department (PCD) is seeking an associate with a minimum of 3 years of trust and estates experience to join our nationally recognized practice in any of our Florida offices (Boca Raton, Miami, or West Palm Beach).

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience in estate planning and estate and trust administration, including knowledge of relevant Florida state and federal tax laws. There is a strong preference for candidates with experience with domestic estate planning and working with individuals and families on tax-efficient family wealth transfer strategies through estate, tax, business succession, and asset protection planning. Demonstrated experience with successfully managing estate and trust administration matters in and out of the Florida court system is a plus.

Day Pitney's Private Client team has extensive experience serving the unique needs of individuals and their families, fiduciaries, and a broad range of tax-exempt entities. The team advises high net worth individuals, fiduciaries and family offices on sophisticated private client matters involving trusts and estates, including tax and succession planning.

Hybrid Work Environment

Day Pitney recognizes the value of flexible working arrangements alongside the benefits of in-office collaboration. To support both, the firm offers a hybrid work environment that provides attorneys the ability to work remotely two days per week.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in sophisticated private client matters involving trusts and estates
• Excellent technical, professional and client service skills
• Strong written and verbal communication and advocacy skills
• Team-oriented with an emphasis on collaboration
• Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively, and to develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs
• Member of Florida State bar in good standing (required)
