About Emigrant Capital
Emigrant Capital Corp. ("ECC") is the private equity division of Emigrant Bank, the nation's largest single-family owned and operated bank. ECC invests directly from the bank's balance sheet, bringing broad financial capabilities, operational expertise, and longstanding industry relationships to each of its partnerships. The team brings a unique perspective to the middle market through its permanent capital base and is able to invest with a longer investment horizon independent of traditional fund cycles – allowing it to better support strategic and sustainable value creation opportunities within its portfolio. ECC's flexibility provides a range of capital solutions that span from traditional majority recapitalization / buyout transactions to structured minority capital solutions that are tailored to the specific needs of founders, families, and management teams. ECC primarily focuses on investments in companies generating between $2 million - $15 million in EBITDA in the business services, industrial technology, and consumer sectors.
About The Role
The Pre-MBA Private Equity Associate will serve as a key member of the investment team and will work across all stages of the investment cycle from preliminary evaluation and due diligence through deal execution as well as value creation and portfolio management. ECC operates as a lean team with a flat organizational structure, so the Associate will gain meaningful exposure to critical aspects of the investment process and have the ability to make an immediate impact on the success of the group.
