Primrose School of South Meridian is seeking a dependable, organized, and enthusiastic Full-Time Chef/Cook to join our team!

Our Chef plays an important role in supporting children's growth and development by preparing nutritious, appealing meals and snacks each day.
Position Details
- Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Location: Meridian, Idaho
- Start Date: As soon as possible
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for approximately 150–200 students daily.
- Follow established menus and Primrose nutritional guidelines.
- Coordinate weekly menus with the Leadership Team.
- Manage food inventory, ordering, and kitchen supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
- Wash dishes and clean kitchen equipment and workspaces.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and childcare licensing requirements.
- Safely accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions.
- Maintain an efficient kitchen and consistent meal service schedule.
Qualifications
- Previous cooking, kitchen, or food service experience preferred but not required.
- Training provided for candidates who meet position requirements.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as required for kitchen duties.
- Ability to successfully complete required background screening.
