Job Summary

Requires insight into the behavioral sciences and specific training in client; self-administration of medication and checking vital signs. Work requires basic concern for quality of care and helping the drug abuser, and belief in human potential for positive growth, as well as a willingness to coordinate and work cooperatively with others.

Essential Job Functions 

  • Monitors client self-administration of medications and accurately documents each transaction.
  • Performs crisis intervention and reports all problems to the supervisor.
  • Assists staff members to deliver services, make referrals to appropriate social service agencies, filing, and documenting as directed. 
  • Responsible for remaining awake and watchful throughout the shift.
  • Conducts checks on clients during normal day hours  and when client is sleeping
  • Monitors client vital signs (pulse, temperature, respiration, and blood pressure) every four hours on each detoxing patient (if applicable), and as ordered by the medical supervisor and records vital signs appropriately on the patient chart
  • Wakes up clients at appropriate times as designated and ensures that they are dressed, have eaten and completed clean up and other duties.
  • Works on call shifts and can be depended upon to work when called or scheduled. Provide transportation services to participants or as assigned by immediate supervisor.
  • Cooperates with other shift personnel to ensure smooth operation of facility and ensures safety of residents and security of building during shift.
  • Any other duties and assignments to meet the goals and objectives of Aliviane Inc

 Education and Experience Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

One (1) year experience in drug abuse treatment setting and be proficient in computer skills including knowledge of a word processing program and a spreadsheet program

Any combination of education and experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the duties listed in the job description.
