PRN Surgical Scrub Tech

• Assists with ensuring the center is properly prepared for the daily schedule:
  • maintains adequate inventory of supplies and follows procedures for notification of shortages and reordering.
  • preparation of supplies.
  • sterilization of equipment.
  • cleaning the surgical suite between cases.
• Maintain sterility and safety logs and protocols.
• Opening of sterile packs, instruments and supplies to ensure sterile environment during case.
• Preparing for set up of surgical cases and assisting in surgical cases.
• Process specimens form surgical cases.
• Reporting and troubleshooting of all broken and defective supplies or equipment.
• Checking and restocking center.
• Organizing supplies and equipment in efficient manner.
• Provides in-service to staff on equipment and procedures in the surgical center.
• Assist coordinator and nurses with day to day administrative tasks as needed for cases.
• Maintains a safe environment for treating the surgical patient, including safeguards to protect the patient from cross infection takes an active role for identifying issues for quality improvement.
• Orders back office and medical supplies.
