Probate Paralegal

Compensation:

$65,000 - $72,000 yearly

• Assist attorneys with opening and administering probate estates.

• Prepare, organize, and maintain probate case files and estate records.

• Draft legal documents, including petitions, notices, declarations, proposed orders, and correspondence, under attorney supervision.

• Assist with gathering information regarding decedents, heirs, beneficiaries, assets, and liabilities.

• Track court deadlines, filing requirements, hearings, and other important dates.

• Assist with preparing and submitting probate documents to the appropriate courts.

• Help coordinate the collection and organization of estate-related financial records and supporting documentation.

• Maintain accurate records of estate assets, expenses, distributions, and other relevant information as directed.

• Communicate professionally with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, court personnel, and other parties as authorized.

• Assist with preparing inventories, accountings, and other estate administration documents.

• Monitor case progress and follow up on outstanding documents and information.

• Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive client and estate information.

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Preference will be given to those candidates who have at least two years of legal experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
