Overview
Veeco is seeking a motivated Process Development Engineer to support process development, customer demonstrations, and application qualification activities for Veeco's ion beam deposition systems. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, product management, engineering, and field teams to develop, optimize, and validate thin-film deposition processes that support customer manufacturing requirements and business growth.
The role combines hands-on and execution-oriented, with an emphasis on laboratory process work, technical documentation, troubleshooting, and support for customer evaluations. The Process Development Engineer will help develop and validate thin-film deposition processes for optical, semiconductor, and photonics applications while building expertise in Veeco systems and customer requirements.

Ability to execute experiments, analyze data, document results, and communicate technical findings clearly.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience with photonics, optical communications, semiconductor devices, or advanced materials applications is preferred.
Salary and Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $117,197.00 - $154,207.00, plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
