Process Engineer - Automated Production Line

Our client, a Top Fortune Tech Company, is looking to hire a Process Engineer - Automated Production Line in Wilmington, MA - Fully Onsite.

Pay Rate Range: $90 - $110/hr on W2, depending on experience

8+ months Contract · On-site · 8+ years experience -potential to extend and convert to FTE

Responsibilities:

We are landing a set of automated and semi-automated production lines, built with automation integrators, into our facility. We are hiring a Process Engineer to take these lines from installed to dialed-in - running process development on the line, validating output against spec, and driving yield, quality, and throughput as they ramp. You own what the lines produce.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Dial in the lines: Run process development on each line - tune parameters, run build trials, and bring output to spec.
• Validate & qualify: Build and run test/validation plans; establish process capability (Cpk) and close gaps against requirements.
• Hold the process: Stand up SPC and monitoring; keep each process in control and catch drift before it reaches the product.
• Own risk & control: Develop and maintain PFMEAs and control plans; prioritize improvements by risk.
• Make it better: Drive yield, quality, and cycle-time improvements using DOE, root-cause analysis, and Lean/Six Sigma.
• Document it: Own work instructions and process documentation so each line runs consistently.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or related engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 8+ years in process or manufacturing engineering in a production environment.
• Proven process development and dial-in - taking a line from first builds to qualified, in-spec production.
• Process development experience on automated or semi-automated lines - comfortable developing a process around automated equipment, not just manual stations.
• Strong command of DOE, SPC, Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), and process-capability analysis.
• Hands-on with PFMEA and control plans, and structured problem-solving (DMAIC, 5-Why, Fishbone, 8D).
• Proven yield, quality, and cycle-time improvement on live production.
• Able to operate independently on-site.
