This role supports production and research operations with expertise in specific processes. The individual will monitor key processes using systems, address product issues that do not meet standards, apply structured problem-solving for root cause analysis, conduct equipment and process qualifications, and assist operations with the creation of process and training documentation. The role focuses on continuous improvement for cost reduction, process capability, efficiency, safety, and environmental enhancements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Applies extensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices in a specialized technical area.
Leads projects as assigned by the engineering manager.
Documents work effectively and presents findings to various internal teams.
Develops and maintains procedures, work instructions, and training materials to support the technical area.
Collaborates across functions on projects and initiatives.
Utilizes problem-solving, statistical process control, and other engineering fundamentals to support investigations.
Supports continuous improvement initiatives, including safety and environmental enhancements.
Engages in technical discussions with suppliers and clients in the specialized technical area.
Adheres to all safety requirements, communicates identified risks to leadership, and assists in their resolution.
Maintains a safe, organized, and efficient work environment by completing all 5S standards (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain).
