Process Engineer

BlueWave is hiring a Process Engineer for an advanced manufacturing client based in Glendale, Kentucky. As a Process Engineer, you will own manufacturing equipment and production processes from specification and procurement through installation, validation, and production ramp-up. You will help achieve quality, cost, schedule, throughput, and operational performance objectives.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing equipment from initial specification through production launch.
• Manage equipment suppliers, capital budgets, schedules, and procurement activities.
• Lead equipment installation, commissioning, factory and site acceptance testing, debugging, and final approval.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, operating parameters, and production documentation.
• Maintain process failure mode and effects analyses, control plans, work instructions, and quality plans.
• Improve cycle time, yield, overall equipment effectiveness, and process capability.
• Coordinate with controls, facilities, quality, purchasing, and operations teams.
• Manage engineering changes, project risks, and program milestones.
• Lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• Experience in manufacturing process engineering.
• Experience specifying, procuring, and commissioning capital equipment.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, control plans, statistical process control, and manufacturing quality systems.
• Experience with process validation, optimization, and production ramp-up.
• Experience managing capital projects, budgets, suppliers, and schedules.
• Ability to lead cross-functional engineering projects.
• Experience with high-volume automated manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with manual or finished assembly, fastening, leak testing, or end-of-line testing preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, industrial engineering, or advanced product quality planning preferred.
• Experience collaborating with external manufacturing partners preferred.
