Process Engineer - Injection Molding

PROCESS ENGINEER – INJECTION MOLDING

A growing manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer with a background in injection molding to support production, troubleshoot issues, and lead process improvements. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys working on the floor, solving technical challenges, and contributing to new product introduction and equipment upgrades.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support mold trials and help transition new tooling and models into production.
• Investigate and resolve scrap, cycle time, and process variability issues.
• Collaborate with production, tooling, and maintenance teams to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Participate in capital projects involving molding equipment and automation.
• Assist with tooling reviews and design feedback using CAD and 3D modeling software.
• Identify and implement process changes that drive down cost and improve part quality.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Plastics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in injection molding.
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD software preferred
• Familiarity with robotics, automation, and molding support systems preferred
• Willingness to support off-shift activity when needed for trials or troubleshooting.
