Position Overview:
Seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to support commissioning, qualification, and startup of a new greenfield API manufacturing facility supporting peptide production. This engineer will serve as a site technical representative, supporting activities from initial planning and documentation through field execution and equipment handover to Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with C&Q service providers, Operations, Technical Services/Manufacturing Sciences (TSMS), and Automation teams to ensure safe and successful system startup.
• Review and approve C&Q protocols, test cases, discrepancy reports, and turnover documentation within assigned responsibilities.
• Support system shakedown, installation verification, and operational verification.
• Participate in mechanical completion walkdowns and identify equipment or installation deficiencies.
• Support equipment safety reviews, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) planning, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR).
• Provide hands-on support for equipment setup, operation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Investigate and resolve technical discrepancies identified during commissioning and qualification.
• Verify system readiness and support final equipment handover to site Operations.
• Work flexible shifts as needed during critical startup activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, commissioning and qualification, or a related engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of process equipment, manufacturing systems, and operating principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues during commissioning and startup.
• Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing plant environment.
• Strong technical documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work onsite in Lebanon, IN, and support shift work as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience commissioning or qualifying manufacturing equipment.
• Experience developing, reviewing, or executing C&Q protocols.
• Chemical manufacturing experience involving hazardous materials.
• Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM), equipment safety reviews, LOTO, and PSSR.
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical/API manufacturing or greenfield facility startup.
