What a winning week looks like
- Kick off with Supervisor Safety Meetings; reinforce SOPs and Process Control Tables across shifts.
- Prioritize work with First-Line Leaders and confirm material readiness with Procurement and equipment readiness with Maintenance.
- Track output vs. plan; adjust schedules in real time for equipment downtime, staffing changes, or material constraints.
- Review production, quality, and maintenance reports; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with Engineering to trial equipment or control-system improvements that elevate throughput, safety, and quality.
- Coach team members, deliver performance appraisals, and advance the departmental training program.
- Report on cost center budgets and progress to targets aligned with the business plan.
- Capture and store operational data to fuel continuous improvement.
Your background
- BS in Chemistry or Engineering.
- 5+ years in manufacturing supervision.
- EPA/OSHA compliance familiarity, including PSM.
- Experience with reactive chemistry and related control systems.
- SAP preferred; VPC experience valued.
- Data-savvy with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strengths in continuous improvement, SOP governance, distribution coordination, supervisory leadership, and coaching/mentoring.
