The Process Scientist III performs professional chemist assignments requiring full use and application of standard chemical principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. This role is focused on scientific research, development, and testing of new products, processes, and raw materials including: researching potential new products and processes by developing and testing theories on the physical and chemical properties of materials and ingredients under various conditions. This position aids projects in meeting established schedules or resolving complex technical or operational problems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete understanding and wide application of chemistry's technical principles, theories, and concepts. General knowledge of other disciplines.
Provides technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organizational objectives.
Perform experiments in a timely manner under the guidance of the lead chemist.
Assist engineering and analytical teams with technical transfer questions offering production support.
Assist in preparation of technical reports and lead portions of customer call.
Must be able to work efficiently individually and as a team by sharing ideas and adapting to change.
Ability to solve problems and has strong organizational and planning skills.
May perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
6-9 years of related experience and a bachelor's degree or 3-6 years of related experience and a master's degree or 1-3 years of related experience and a PhD degree or equivalent experience;
PhD (preferred), Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Chemistry or Organic Chemistry.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Participates in production support including nights, weekends, and holidays.
This role may involve work in laboratory or manufacturing environments with potential exposure to chemicals or other regulated substances. As a condition of employment, incumbents may be required to participate in employer-provided medical surveillance programs in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and company policy.
