Job Summary:
Our client, a leading fresh food distribution company, is seeking dependable and hardworking Fresh Cut Production Associates to join their team in Warrendale, PA. This is a contract position with the potential for extension. The role involves processing, cutting, packaging, and preparing fresh vegetables and other food products for shipment in a cold, wet production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut, portion, and process fresh vegetables and other food items
- Package and label products according to specifications
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Operate cutting equipment safely
- Work efficiently to meet production goals
- Keep work area clean and organized
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic math and arithmetic skills
- Comfort working in a refrigerated environment (34-40 F)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Safe work around sharp cutting instruments
- Dependable and reliable work ethic
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food production or manufacturing
- Familiarity with food safety regulations
About the Role:
- Contract duration: 6+ months
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, starting at 8:00 AM until work is completed (typically 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM); occasional extended shifts until 8:00 PM
