- Qualifies and evaluates vendors of materials, subcontractors, and service providers for recommendation to the Procurement Manager or others for use on projects.
- Communicates and enforces procurement policies and procedures to the district and project teams.
- Collects and maintains procurement analytics, reporting and deliverables.
- Maintains the records of goods ordered and received; supports Accounts Payable reconciliation.
- Helps in the creation and negotiation of contracts under the supervision and guidance of a procurement manager.
- Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan.
- Facilitates RFPs and collaborates with preconstruction team on new opportunities and current projects.
- Perform additional assignments per management’s direction.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain or Construction Management preferred.
1+ year related construction experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Introductory knowledge of Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) with general knowledge of database utilization. JD Edwards E1 World experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Able to identify, track and communicate project plan steps and actions.
- Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Working in a open cubical workstation or office, subject to office noise
- Required to work in office environment
- Travel to projects as needed
- Visits to project sites involve exposure to outside weather elements
- Ability to sit and talk or hear
- Ability to frequently stand and walk
- Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work extended hours, including occasional weekends, based on project requirements.
