Description
About the role:
This position in Supply Chain is responsible for sourcing of various product or services categories. The role serves as support for Manufacturing & Project Management ensuring competitive product and service costs with our vendors. The associate will support the strategic sourcing process from strategy development and supplier selection through contract negotiation and ongoing supplier management.
Responsibilities:
Work with Supply Chain Management pertaining to purchasing to ensure on-time deliveries of materials and services.
Support supplier order confirmation, follow-ups, and troubleshooting.
Provide assistance in getting requisitions approved.
Provide spending reports.
Follow-up and help expedite any purchase order creation and amendment.
Perform purchase order changes, after initial issuing, as needed and authorized.
Develop a relationship with Accounts Payable to ensure prompt and accurate payment to vendors.
Be proactive when identifying possible inventory and service issues related to the backlog of purchase orders or requisitions not transformed to a procurement order.
Perform supplier management, including vendor setup, maintain communication with sales representative, support our QA for supplier qualification.
Collaborate with Materials and Warehouse management for flow of incoming raw materials, retrieve CoAs and participate in materials release process as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Must Have:
2+ years of experience in procurement.
SAP equivalent system knowledge is a plus.
Knowledge of procurement fundamentals.
Able to interact professionally with people at all levels both within organization as well as vendors.
Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Office, SharePoint, Teams).
Experience working with computers and software, including Microsoft Office and systems including ERP, QMS, IMS.
