Opportunity Overview:
Procurement Engineer based in Jupiter, FL 33478. This is a 1-year contract assignment (W-2). The Procurement Engineer (PE) ensures that the parts ordered and requested maintain the design, license, and tech specs of the associated plant.
This engineering position will support project, operational, and outage work when parts are requested from the nuclear fleet.
You will perform Evaluations to set-up purchase requirements and associated testing/certification. Additionally, you will conduct Item-Equivalency Evaluations (IEEs) to combat Obsolete/unavailable items. You will also review challenges with parts upon receipt, known as OSDDs. Procurement Engineering supports collaboration across Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Licensing teams to guide fleet-wide success.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Perform fundamental to complex engineering activities requiring application of standard techniques through nuclear industry standards and regulations
- Participate in analysis and evaluation of engineering problems
- Develop test activities to evaluate recommended solutions and analyze data for result inconsistencies
- Provide oversight for engineering vendor activities and perform owners' acceptance reviews on deliverables (SDN, SDR, 4016
- Coordinate and serve as technical liaison within nuclear teams and other company departments
- Lead discussions and trainings in group settings to resolve problems or coordinate production and Operating Experience
- Apply nuclear industry standards and regulations to solve new problems and address situations
- Ensure successful implementation of all assigned projects with schedule ownership
- Support refueling outages, emergent modifications, and other Procurement Engineering responsibilities
