Who You Are

As a Procurement Engineering Manager, you will manage a virtual team of field deployed Technical Sub-Contract Managers (TSMs) as well as local TSMs who serve as boots on the ground and the eyes and ears for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Supply Chain and Program Management team member. Cover the US Domestic Supply Chain, however, changes in supplier assignments can be expected as dictated by business needs. This role may require an average of 50% travel (domestic and limited International). The principle objective is to lead, develop and mature TSMs to ensure the timely delivery of quality parts in support of all LM Aero Programs.You will manage a virtual team of field deployed Technical Sub-Contract Managers (TSMs) as well as local TSMs who serve as boots on the ground and the eyes and ears for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Supply Chain and Program Management team member. What You Will Be Doing

• Managing a team that coordinates with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, the Supply Base and Industry experts to facilitate the design, production, test and qualification of aerospace and defense products.
• Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
• Directing the analyses of technical data, engineering designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability.
• Managing the facilitation of technical trade-offs and standardization that may lead to more economical procurement.
• Managing design changes to mitigate production issues.
• Leading teams of Supplier and internal staff and collaboratively solving problems in Producibility, Quality, Inspection, Cost, Mistake-Proofing, Test, Reliability and Affordability.

Basic Qualifications

• Experienced in communicating technical and non-technical issues and status reports
• Experience in maintaining schedules, understanding and affecting metrics and developing and taking necessary actions on cost, schedule and performance issues
• Experience Working with Systems, Applications, and Processes (SAP), Product Data Management (PDM), and SharePoint

Desired Skills

• Experience working with supplier engagements and an familiarity with both Aircraft Manufacturing and the Procurement Process
• Project Management experience
• Experienced leader, coach and/or mentor
• Experience interfacing with Quality, Production Control, SCM Leadership

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
