Our client is a stable, employee-owned manufacturer seeking a strategic procurement leader to drive sourcing excellence, strengthen supplier partnerships, and support ongoing supply chain transformation. This role offers significant visibility, leadership responsibility, and the opportunity to influence procurement strategy across the organization.

Job Description

• Lead and develop a team of purchasing professionals.
• Develop and execute procurement and sourcing strategies.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, and risk mitigation activities.
• Lead vendor negotiations, contracts, and commercial agreements.
• Identify and implement cost savings and strategic sourcing opportunities.
• Support procurement transformation and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure material availability and production continuity.
• Oversee sourcing of buy-to-print components, mechanical parts, electronics, equipment, and purchased services.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 7+ years of procurement, purchasing, or materials management experience in manufacturing.
• Proven leadership experience managing procurement teams.
• Strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and vendor negotiations.
• Experience sourcing custom-engineered or buy-to-print components.
• Familiarity with machining, metal stamping, electronics, or engineered products manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems; Epicor experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of FAR and DFARS requirements preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and change management skills.
