Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Procurement Systems Manager.

In this role, the successful candidate as the Procurement Systems Manager will play a critical role at the intersection of procurement operations, technology, and innovation. This individual leads a specialized team and will lead the expansion, maintenance, and adoption of agentic AI capabilities within procurement, while also overseeing system enhancements and supporting the organizations transition from PeopleSoft to a cloud-based ERP platform.
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong execution skills who can translate business needs into scalable system solutions, drive continuous improvement, and effectively support cross-functional teams through change.

Job Responsibilities:

Agentic AI Strategy & Enablement

• Lead the expansion and continuous improvement of agentic AI solutions within procurement operations 
• Partner with stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI-driven use cases that improve efficiency, decision-making, and user experience 
• Oversee ongoing maintenance, performance monitoring, and optimization of agentic AI tools 
• Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting, enhancements, and user support related to AI capabilities 

• Drive adoption through training, documentation, and change management initiatives 

   

   

  Procurement Systems & PeopleSoft Enhancements

• Own and manage all procurement-related enhancements within PeopleSoft, focused on process optimization and automation 
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into functional system improvements 
• Partner with IT and external vendors to design, test, and implement system changes  
• Ensure system integrity, data accuracy, and alignment with procurement policies and controls 

• Continuously evaluate opportunities to streamline workflows and improve user experience  

   

   

  ERP Cloud Transformation Leadership

• Serve as the procurement operations lead for the ERP migration from PeopleSoft to a cloud-based platform 
• Represent procurement in cross-functional ERP project teams, ensuring business needs are clearly defined and delivered 
• Lead process mapping, gap analysis, and future-state design for procurement workflows 
• Support system configuration, testing (UAT), and deployment activities 

• Drive readiness and adoption across the procurement organization during and after the transition 

   

   

  Operational Support & Continuous Improvement

• Provide ongoing system support to procurement teams, ensuring efficient and effective use of tools and platforms 
• Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures 
• Establish metrics and KPIs to measure system performance and process improvements 
• Identify and implement best practices to enhance procurement operations 
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer service excellence.
• Establish clear performance expectations and measurable objectives for team members.

• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field
5-8 years of experience in procurement operations, procurement systems, or related roles
Strong experience in Purchase to Pay process and ERP systems; experience with cloud ERP platforms preferred
Demonstrated experience leading system implementations or major enhancements
Exposure to or experience with AI-driven tools, automation, or digital transformation initiatives
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting or leading ERP cloud migrations
Familiarity with agentic AI or intelligent automation in procurement or supply chain
Knowledge of procurement processes including sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management
Change management experience in large-scale system transformations
Team management experience would be a plus

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $101,493.51 - $175,076.17 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
