The role works at the intersection of our PIM system, ERP, and eCommerce platform, with a strong focus on data quality, pricing maintenance (list, net, discounts, and promotional pricing), data syndication, and analytical reporting.

Job Functions for a Product Data Specialist:

    • Maintain product data accuracy, maintenance, governance, and execution within our PIM by enriching attributes, managing category assignments, and ensuring all SKUs meet OSG's data completeness standards; support syndication of product data across all channels including our eCommerce storefronts, distribution network partners, CRM, and other internal systems.
    • Support and maintain pricing across eCommerce channels and other systems, including list prices, net prices, customer discounts, and promotional pricing; ensure alignment with D365 as the pricing source of truth and resolve sync discrepancies in a timely manner.
    • Validate and reconcile product and pricing data between ERP, PIM, eCommerce platform, and other connected systems; identify root causes of data inconsistencies and work directly with the relevant business teams to investigate and resolve issues.
    • Conduct regular quality audits of product and pricing data across all channels including eCommerce platforms, distribution network partners, and other internal systems - reviewing attribute accuracy, pricing consistency, images, and searchability, and driving corrections through the appropriate system of record.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to gather, validate, and publish product content (technical specifications, descriptions, dimensions, images, and availability); engage and coordinate with external vendors as needed to support website operations and system integrations.
    • Recommend and apply analytical methods to assess large volumes of product and pricing data, identify trends, and surface actionable insights for the eCommerce Manager and senior leadership.
    • Analyze product data to identify, inform leader, and correct inconsistencies; maintain data change logs and audit trails to support compliance, governance, and continuous improvement.
    • Prepare regular status reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) on catalog completeness and pricing accuracy; present findings and recommendations to the eCommerce Manager and senior stakeholders to support ongoing business initiatives.
    • Stay current with PIM best practices, eCommerce platform capabilities, pricing tools, and industry trends, proactively identifying opportunities to improve data quality, operational efficiency, and automation.
    • Manage and respond promptly to data-related questions and requests from internal teams including Sales, Marketing, IT, and the eCommerce Manager.
    • Perform general office and administrative tasks to support Digital Commerce and broader Company initiatives.
