Description

Scope of this role includes activities pertaining to sustaining engineering, product improvements, line extensions as well as maintaining the compliance, profitability, and manufacturability of CooperSurgical's product portfolio. Within the scope of this role are electro-mechanical connected systems and devices associated with In-vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART). You will also have an opportunity to drive product development activities associate with surgical devices, instruments, and disposables in broader women's health field including Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN).

Product Engineering at CooperSurgical means keeping our wide range of critical medical devices in the market, delivered on time and in compliance with international regulations. This means continuously improving our products for manufacturability, reliability and cost effectiveness, driving material changes due to supply chain challenges and retesting to the latest international standards.

Education:

  • Batchelors degree or higher in Mechanical, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering or related field
  • Cross-disciplinary education and/or experience such as mechatronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical-materials, electrical-biomedical, etc is highly desirable.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles, including mechanics and materials science.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks, 3D modelling, assemblies and engineering drawings according to ASME Y14 series.
  • Understanding of product development processes, including design controls, risk management, and design verification and validation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong English language communication skills (written and oral). Ability to author reports, protocols, procedures, presentations and other related documents. Ability to effectively communicate to peers as well as management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high pressure environment and meet project deadlines.

The good faith estimate of this role is a salary range of $60,000 to $90,000.
