Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Engineer to support the development, characterization, and production of MEMS-based products. This role works closely with senior product engineers, process engineers, and test engineers to execute laboratory experiments, collect and analyze data, support product qualification activities, and assist in troubleshooting technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
Execute engineering experiments and characterization studies according to established test plans and procedures.
Prepare test samples, operate laboratory equipment, and maintain accurate experimental records.
Perform electrical, mechanical, environmental, and reliability testing of MEMS devices.
Collect, organize, and analyze data from engineering experiments and production testing.
Generate statistical summaries, charts, and technical reports to communicate findings.
Support root cause analysis and failure investigation activities.
Assist senior engineers with product development, qualification, and manufacturing support activities.
Maintain test documentation, reports, databases, and engineering records.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, quality, and reliability engineering.
Adhere to laboratory safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor''''s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Basic understanding of MEMS devices, sensors, actuators, or semiconductor technologies.
Knowledge of engineering test methods, data collection, and statistical analysis.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
0-2 years of relevant industry, internship, co-op, or research experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with MEMS, semiconductor manufacturing, or product characterization laboratories.
Experience using Python, MATLAB, JMP, Minitab, or similar data analysis tools.
Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and reliability testing.
Familiarity with cleanroom environments and semiconductor processing.

The starting hourly rate of pay for this role ranges between USD $27.00 and $35.00. The actual base pay is dependent on various factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market conditions. This range is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future.
This position is open to candidates based in San Jose, CA with on-site presence required. The role is also eligible for variable bonus programs and benefits.
