    Description

    My client's Pittsburgh office is seeking a highly motivated and industrious attorney to work in the firm’s Product Liability practice group.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Investigate and evaluate product liability claims
    • Conduct legal research regarding product liability law and federal regulations
    • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda
    • Manage all phases of litigation, including depositions, hearings, mediation, arbitration, and trial
    • Advise clients on risk management, compliance, recalls, and liability exposure
    • Prepare witnesses and clients for testimony
    • Maintain case files, billing records, and litigation deadlines
    • Participate in Business Development activities

    The ideal candidate must have the following skills for consideration: 

    • 4–10 years of litigation experience preferred
    • Experience with product liability, mass torts, personal injury, or complex civil
    • Experience with active participation in depositions, oral arguments, and courtroom experiences
    • Excellent academic credentials as well as strong organization, writing, and analytical skills
    • Knowledge of county, state, and federal courts and related rules of civil procedures
    • Strong attention to detail in all work, along with the ability to manage multiple files and to prioritize workloads to effectively meet all deadlines
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of management, staff, and clients
    • Forward thinking, organized, and a team player
    • Ability to independently solve problems and exercise sound judgment with minimal direction
