About the job

At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world"s information. We"re responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

AI Data is the driving channel behind Google"s rapid delivery of groundbreaking, impactful, and responsible AI. We make GenAI development simpler, faster, and more effective by addressing Responsible AI in GenAI development.

Our goal is to create user-friendly, trustworthy, and privacy-preserving data and metadata solutions for AI products. This will not only help Google meet the challenges of the fast-paced AI landscape but will also be crucial for achieving Google"s company-wide Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for significant advancements in artificial intelligence.

This role sits at the intersection of AI innovation, engineering, and policy and process. You will play a vital role in Google"s GenAI launch velocity, unblocking key training datasets and researcher productivity while building the core data governance foundation that protects Google"s products and users.

Google Cloud accelerates every organization's ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google's cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Shape and develop core tools that enable the creation of responsible, safe, fair, and transparent AI, taking novel ideas from raw concepts all the way to developer adoption.
  • Manage a broad range of technical areas, including risk classification tools and automated compliance pipelines, to translate complex policies into scalable software and address legal and compliance risks.
  • Support technical, scaled processes for GenAI model training, tuning, evaluation, and launch configurations in order to unblock Google DeepMind (GDM) launches and enhance researcher productivity.
  • Act as a master collaborator across organizational boundaries by presenting technical proposals to engineering teams, delivering risk assessments to cross-functional stakeholders, and securing execution backing from leadership.
