Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join our dynamic team at Cisco in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management and ownership, particularly within the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively communicate with stakeholders, prioritize product features, and drive the product vision to successful execution.
Responsibilities:
Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap in alignment with business goals.
Collaborate with cross functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to deliver high quality products.
Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, gathering requirements and feedback to inform product development.
Prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that the most valuable features are delivered first.
Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring that the team adheres to Agile principles.
Monitor product performance and user feedback, making data driven decisions to enhance product offerings.
Lead product demonstrations and presentations to stakeholders and executive leadership.
Stay updated on industry trends and competitor products to inform product strategy.
Mandatory Skills:
Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, specifically within a SAFe environment.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with product management tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
Preferred Skills:
Experience in the technology or software development industry.
Familiarity with user experience (UX) design principles.
Knowledge of data analytics and performance metrics.
Certification in SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager or similar Agile certifications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field; Mastera s degree is a plus.
10 15 years of experience in product management or ownership, with a focus on Agile methodologies.
Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products throughout their lifecycle.
