Overview

LABUR is partnering with a client for a Product Owner to bridge business vision, user experience, and technology to spearhead the delivery of products and capabilities. This person will support the scrum team, manage backlog items, and optimize the value of products across the organization. Leading the product development team toward achieving the organizational vision and mission is central to success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Portfolio Managers, SMEs, and customers to co-develop product roadmaps and drive features from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including analytics, design/UX, engineering, and user enablement-to align on product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization.
• Operate in an Agile environment, continuously reviewing business needs, refining priorities, outlining milestones, and identifying opportunities and risks.
• Turn product roadmap features into well-defined requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize and maintain the team increment and sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing stakeholder requirements.
• Oversee the product functional design process based on deep knowledge of users and technology, leveraging business analysis, product management, and Agile best practices.
• Create and execute go-live plans, ensuring product management, marketing, and business units have what they need to succeed.
• Provide project-related guidance to Business Analysts and Agile team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or a related discipline with 2-3+ years of industry, IT, or software project management experience-or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Superb communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of products, operating processes, and supporting systems.
• Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen paired with strong leadership and management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and effectively handle complex business situations.
• Ability to represent the organization and interact effectively with external partners and internal personnel at all levels.

Compensation

$70,000-$85,000 per year - Dependent on fit and experience.
