Product Support Coordinator B

Job Summary

The Product Support Coordinator B supports the Logistics team, which includes Shipping, Receiving, and Stockroom operations. Team members help manage the flow of materials throughout the facility from receiving and stocking incoming parts to supplying components to production and packaging finished products for shipment to customers.

Opportunities are currently available in both the Shipping Department and Receiving Department. Please indicate your preferred department. The long-term goal is to cross-train team members across all Logistics functions.

Shift: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM 2:30 PM
Overtime: Voluntary

Position Summary

With guidance in a team environment, responsible for maintaining a cycle-counting program that validates inventory counts for accounting and production purposes. The position also performs a variety of product support duties of basic and/or moderate scope within Logistics functions, including Receiving, Stockroom, Shipping, Raw Stock, Parts Identification, and Clean Operations.

Responsibilities

Stockroom & Cycle Counting

  • Maintain a cycle-counting program by counting and reconciling inventory within the electronic system.

  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.

  • Receive materials and identify parts by type or part number.

  • Prepare parts for storage and place stock in designated locations.

  • Select and pull parts from stock according to parts lists and production requirements.

  • Maintain and update inventory records using computer systems.

  • Release and edit requisitions, fill shortages, and delete requisitions as required.

Raw Stock

  • Receive incoming raw stock and verify materials against documentation for identification and quantity.

  • Load and unload trucks and move raw materials to appropriate locations.

  • Identify and code raw materials and operate saw equipment to cut stock to dimensional specifications.

  • Report critical shortages or material issues to appropriate teams.

  • Issue jobs according to schedule and update shop floor, MRP, and other systems.

Parts Identification

  • Identify and mark parts using appropriate methods and equipment as indicated by travelers and/or blueprints.

  • Client out required dimensions and locations for part identification markings.

Shipping

  • Prepare parts and materials for safe shipment, including required paperwork and shipping records.

  • Package products according to customer and company specifications.

  • Generate labels, forms, air bills, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation.

  • Interpret shipping, preservation, and packing requirements.

  • Coordinate with carriers regarding shipment dispatch, rates, and tracking information.

Receiving

  • Receive shipments at the receiving dock and route materials to the appropriate team.

  • Weigh or count incoming and outgoing parts and materials.

  • Enter information into company systems and verify documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Follow all prescribed safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, FOD-free work area.

  • Participate in departmental problem-solving, lean events, and high-performance teams.

  • Maintain 5S standards within the department.

  • Support Team Improvement Board metrics as required.

  • Cross-train within Logistics functions to provide additional departmental support.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 1 year of related product support experience.

  • Working knowledge of computers, software applications, and related systems.

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

  • Ability to read and understand related forms, instructions, and specifications.

  • Strong manual dexterity.

  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required.

  • Must be able to pass a visual acuity exam, including far vision, near vision, and color perception.

  • May be required to operate material-moving and saw equipment and meet applicable OSHA safety qualifications.

  • Forklift operator certification may be required.
