Assist producers, anchors, and show teams with daily broadcast production tasks.
Attend production meetings and contribute to content planning.
Type, edit, format, and distribute scripts and rundowns.
Organize travel arrangements and accommodations for cast, crew, and production executives.
Create and distribute call sheets and production schedules.
Support on-air talent and guests, including coordinating logistics and providing necessary materials.
Run errands between production offices, studios, and other departments.
Track show timing and coordinate with the control room to ensure smooth transitions.
Assist with setting up and preparing pre-recorded content for live broadcasts.
Work with the post-production team to create shot lists, logs, and other necessary documentation.
Collaborate with editors to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality video content.
Maintain organization of production assets, including scripts, footage, and rundowns.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the production team.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Broadcasting, or a related field is preferred.
Previous newsroom experience (internships or production assistant roles) is strongly preferred.
Demonstrable interest in current events, politics, and media.
Excellent writing and organizational skills, with sharp attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure news environment with tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple departments.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with non-linear video editing (Adobe Premiere, Avid, Final Cut) is a plus.
Familiarity with HD camera equipment and newsroom production technology is a plus.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as news dictates.
