Production AssistantStarting Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hourSchedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:30 PMPosition OverviewJST is looking for a Production Assistant to support daily manufacturing operations. This hands-on role assists with equipment assembly, production tasks, quality inspections, inventory, equipment upkeep, and shipping preparation. The Production Assistant works under the direction of the Production Manager and helps ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate production equipment as needed, which may include optical lasers, routers, grainers, and saws.Assist with equipment assembly and manufacturing by following blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.Inspect completed parts and products to help ensure they meet company quality requirements.Keep work areas clean and organized by maintaining tools, removing waste, and assisting with general shop housekeeping.Prepare products for shipment by packaging, labeling, and organizing outgoing orders.Support inventory activities by counting, sorting, and arranging parts, components, and materials.Use measuring instruments, including calipers, and other inspection tools to verify product quality.Follow established work procedures and safety practices throughout manufacturing operations.Help maintain production equipment and tools in clean, safe, and serviceable condition.Provide general assistance to Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Quoting teams as needed.Work collaboratively with team members to address production challenges and help meet department goals.Safely handle tools, materials, and equipment while performing tasks that may require bending, kneeling, climbing, crouching, reaching, and grasping.Complete other assigned duties to support production and overall business operations.Qualifications and SkillsAbility to read and understand assembly blueprints and work instructions.Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations using a calculator.Familiarity with precision measuring tools, such as calipers, is beneficial.Technical education or equivalent hands-on experience is preferred.Ability to produce accurate, quality work while meeting production schedules.Ability to operate handheld power tools safely and effectively.Willingness to clean, inspect, and maintain tools and equipment.Commitment to following company procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Related ExperienceCandidates with experience in any of the following areas are encouraged to apply:Manufacturing or production supportMechanical assembly or equipment buildingMachine operation or fabricationQuality inspection or quality controlInventory, material handling, or warehouse workShipping, packaging, or order preparationGeneral maintenance or shop supportUse of hand tools, power tools, or precision measuring instrumentsWork Environment and Physical RequirementsAbility to safely lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Ability to stand and walk throughout the scheduled shift.Ability to climb, balance, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, grasp, and handle materials or tools as needed.Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and follow established safety procedures.Willingness to assist with different tasks as production priorities change.About JSTJST specializes in wet processing, drying, and chemical management equipment for industries where precision and cleanliness are essential.
