Position Summary

The Production Assistant provides administrative support to the plant production team by overseeing the administration of various systems and programs.

Key Deliverables: 

  • Oversees the daily and monthly calculation of production efficiency and spoilage rates
  • Provides production volume, efficiency, spoilage, and stock inventory reports
  • Assists with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of quality systems, raw material management and performs periodic internal audits as directed
  • Assists in training new employees as needed
  • Monitors data in SAP and Lighthouse to ensure accuracy, and makes corrections when needed
  • Provides administrative support in cooperation with the production department needs
  • Ensures materials and finished goods inventory accuracy in cooperation with the warehouse department
  • Purchases auxiliary materials as needed to support production department in coordination with the purchasing team
  • Performs other duties reasonably corresponding with the role, as directed

Knowledge/Skills/Experience: 

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment desired
  • Strong analytical skills and proven ability to work independently
  • Experience with manufacturing MES systems (Shop Floor Online) is a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP) is desired
  • Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goals
  • Strong knowledge in Excel is a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
