We are seeking a dependable Machine Operator / Material Handler to support daily production operations in a fast-paced metal manufacturing environment. This position will operate production equipment, move and stage raw materials, assist with loading and unloading machines, and maintain a clean and organized production floor.
The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, is comfortable working with metal materials and machinery, and can safely perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
Operate production machinery and equipment according to established procedures and safety requirements.
Load and unload metal materials, parts, and components from machines.
Move, stage, and organize raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.
Measure, inspect, and verify materials and finished parts for accuracy and quality.
Read work orders, production instructions, and basic blueprints or drawings.
Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and material-handling equipment as required.
Assist machine operators with setup, changeovers, and production runs.
Perform basic machine adjustments and report equipment issues to supervisors or maintenance.
Package, label, and prepare finished products for shipment or the next stage of production.
Maintain accurate production and material records.
Keep the production area clean, safe, and organized.
Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and quality standards.
Perform other general production and material-handling duties as assigned.
Previous experience in metal manufacturing, machine operation, fabrication, production, or material handling preferred.
Ability to operate basic production machinery or willingness to learn.
Ability to read and follow work instructions.
Basic understanding of measurements and the ability to use a tape measure.
Experience using hand tools and power tools preferred.
Forklift or other material-handling equipment experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Reliable attendance and ability to work as part of a team.
Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work around machinery, metal products, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
