Production Associate

Sustana is the leading manufacturer of sustainably produced, premium recycled fiber and paper, utilizing post-consumer material to create high-quality, low carbon footprint products. The Sustana Fiber facility in De Pere, WI. is the leading manufacturer of recycled fiber. This position will work a DuPont schedule of 12 hour rotating shifts to include day shifts, night shifts and weekends. One of the benefits of this schedule is a built-in 7-day stretch of time off! Training and uniforms are provided, and our highly automated de-inking process is run with state-of-the-art equipment. Including the responsibilities below:

·         Work safely and ensure others safety.

·         Required to learn a minimum of 3 of 6 positions within the mill which can include:

o   Operate Wetlap machine and Dryer

o   Run Quality Testing on finished product.

o   Operate equipment in facility through DCS/Delta V.

o   On shift maintenance skills

o   Do chemical unloading and process checks

o   Operate bale line and load finished goods

·         Troubleshooting and correcting process issues.

·         Unload trailers of waste paper with forklifts.

·         Grade waste paper to determine mix and blends for finished goods quality.

·         Safely set up batches for the pulping system with the best mix of waste paper for maintaining quality while maximizing profitability.

·         Communicate with co-workers during the shift and with on-coming/out-going shifts regarding any important information from the shift (how things ran; waste paper quality; finished goods testing results; etc.).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a paper mill, production or warehouse role preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety procedures.
• Flexibility to work a Du Pont schedule and overtime as needed.
• Forklift experience preferred, however training can be provided
