What’s a typical day as Production Technician I? You’ll be:
  • Setting up and operating various types of automatic and semi-automatic mass finishing equipment (e.g., Electropolish, harperizing, sand blasters, tumbling, degreasing)
  • Performing highly repetitive bench assembly and diagnostic operations on small mechanical units or components, using hand tools, assembly jigs, and fixtures
  • Conducting laser etching and identification operations on instruments, cassettes, handles, and machine parts
  • Executing repetitive heat treating operations, including Rockwell hardness tests and documentation
  • Performing functions in the Ultrasonic cell
  • Buffing, polishing, and grinding workpieces to maintain contour, edges, and dimensions
  • Operating all assigned equipment per work instructions, verifying specifications, and keeping equipment operational
  • Maintaining supplies inventory and miscellaneous logs; retrieving blueprints and work instructions via computer system as needed
  • Following all OSHA and company-specific guidelines for safety
  • Completing other responsibilities as assigned
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Can follow established procedures and work under close to general supervision
  • Are detail-oriented and able to visually detect defects in products
  • Have the ability to work in a repetitive production environment and develop proficiency in assigned operations
  • Are comfortable working the 2nd shift (2 pm - 10:30 pm)
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or production is a plus, but not required
