Production Worker / Warehouse Associate

Locations: Richmond, VA | Chesterfield, VA | Ashland, VA | McKenney, VA | Prince George, VA | Petersburg, VA | Colonial Heights, VA and surrounding areas
Pay: $14.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on the specific position and experience
Schedule: 8-hour or 12-hour shifts | 5- or 6-day workweeks | Weekend work may be required for some positions

Job Description

We are hiring dependable Production Workers and Warehouse Associates for a variety of manufacturing, production, and warehouse positions throughout Central Virginia. Available positions may include production, packaging, assembly, material handling, order picking, shipping and receiving, and general warehouse work.

The specific duties, schedule, and work environment will vary by assignment. Some positions require previous experience, while others provide on-the-job training. We are looking for dependable individuals who are willing to learn, follow instructions, work safely, and contribute to a productive team environment.

Responsibilities

Depending on the assignment, duties may include:

  • Perform general production and warehouse duties.
  • Operate production equipment and machinery after receiving appropriate training.
  • Assemble, package, label, sort, and prepare products.
  • Pick and pack orders and prepare products for shipment.
  • Load and unload trucks and trailers.
  • Move and stage materials and finished products.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.
  • Inspect products for damage, defects, or quality issues.
  • Follow work orders, production instructions, and established procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work with supervisors and coworkers to meet daily production and warehouse goals.
  • Perform other duties related to the position as assigned.

Schedule

Schedules vary by assignment and may include:

  • 8-hour shifts
  • 12-hour shifts
  • 5-day workweeks
  • 6-day workweeks
  • First, second, or third shift
  • Weekend work for some positions
  • Saturday and/or Sunday shifts may be required depending on the assignment

Specific hours and days will be provided before placement. Candidates should be prepared to work the schedule associated with the position they accept, including weekends when required.

Qualifications

  • Previous production, manufacturing, warehouse, or material-handling experience is preferred but may not be required for all positions.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving, order picking, packaging, assembly, inventory, or equipment operation is a plus.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment.
  • Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and procedures.
  • Ability to follow workplace safety requirements.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the specific position.
  • Willingness to work weekends when required by the assigned position.

Physical Requirements

Physical requirements will vary by assignment but may include:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Bending, reaching, stooping, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials as required for the position.
  • Working around machinery, warehouse equipment, and moving materials.
  • Working in environments that may include noise or varying temperatures.

Pay & Opportunities

Pay ranges from $14.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on the position, qualifications, and applicable experience. The posted range is intended to reflect the anticipated pay range for the available assignments.
