Bavarian Inn Restaurant is hiring a Production Cook to prepare the homestyle favorites served with our famous Family Style Chicken Dinners! You'll prepare large batches of our signature sides, including mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, noodles, and vegetables. By following our established recipes, you'll deliver the consistent flavor and quality our guests know and love.

This is a hands-on, physically active cooking position where reliability, consistency, and attention to detail are essential. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, follows recipes carefully, and can keep up with the demands of a busy, high-volume kitchen.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Prepare and cook large batches of our signature side dishes, following established recipes and procedures to ensure consistent flavor, texture, and quality.
• Manage cooking schedules and production quantities to ensure food is ready for busy meal periods.
• Operate commercial cooking equipment, including large steam kettles, mixers, and other kitchen equipment.
• Regularly lift, carry, and maneuver large pans of prepared food weighing up to 50 pounds, following safe handling procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas while following food safety procedures.
• Work closely with kitchen team members to support smooth and efficient daily food production.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Reliability: Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Your team counts on you to keep food production running smoothly.
• Consistency & Attention to Detail: Ability to follow recipes precisely, maintain quality standards, and produce the same great results every time.
• Experience: Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, commercial kitchen, cafeteria, or high-volume food production environment is preferred.
• Independence & Teamwork: Ability to stay focused, manage multiple batches, and work efficiently both independently and with others.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk throughout an 8-hour shift, regularly lift and maneuver pans of prepared food weighing up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive stirring, bending, reaching, and lifting. Must be comfortable working around hot food and commercial kitchen equipment.
• Availability: Ability to work 3-5 days per week, including weekends and holidays.
