The OpportunityAre you a hands-on leader who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and keeping production on track? MCD is looking for a Production Coordinator to join our 2nd shift manufacturing team!This role is designed to develop into a Production Supervisor position. You'll start by learning MCD's equipment, processes, and team while supporting daily production activities. As you gain experience and demonstrate readiness, you'll take on greater leadership responsibilities with the goal of eventually overseeing the shift.
What You'll Do- Learn MCD's production equipment, processes, and quality standards.
- Support daily production activities, workflow, and scheduling priorities.
- Work alongside operators to troubleshoot issues and keep production moving.
- Help coordinate staffing, training, and production needs.
- Communicate with supervisors and other departments to resolve challenges.
- Promote a safe, productive, and team-oriented work environment.
- Gradually take on additional leadership and supervisory responsibilities.
Skills That Will Help You Succeed- Supervisory Experience (Required): Previous experience directly supervising employees, including providing direction, coaching, and managing performance.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to assess challenges and make sound decisions.
- Communication: Clearly communicate expectations and work effectively with others.
- Organization: Balance competing priorities and keep production on track.
- Accountability: Take ownership of responsibilities and follow through.
- Measurement Skills: Ability to accurately read rulers and measuring tools.
- Print Industry Knowledge (Preferred): Experience in printing or print finishing is helpful, but not required.
Training & Growth Opportunities- Hands-on training to learn MCD's equipment, production processes, and operations.
