Production Estimator

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and confirm job specifications from "Requests for Quote forms and pricing requests
• Develop press layouts and production methods for accurate estimates
• Collaborate with customer service, sales, and production teams
• Obtain cost-effective pricing from vendors
• Utilize estimating software and tools to compile competitive and profitable cost estimates
• Communicate finalized pricing with the Planning & Materials Manager
• Suggest process improvements to maintain high product quality
• Analyze situations to determine appropriate solutions
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Skills and Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in the printing/packaging industry
• Strong mathematical skills including fractions, percentages, and measurements
• Familiarity with printing and folding carton equipment and production processes
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
• Proficiency in office equipment such as scanners, copiers, and phone systems
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MRP/ERP systems preferred
• BS in Print Management or 2-5 years of equivalent experience in folding carton production

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Office and production floor environment with varying noise levels
  
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking with occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds

• Successful background and drug screening
