Production Manager- 2nd Shift

Direct Hire Opportunity with Superior Skilled Trades

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced metal fabrication environment. This leadership role is responsible for driving production efficiency, ensuring quality standards, maintaining a safe workplace, and leading multiple production departments to meet customer schedules and company goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily production operations and supervise multiple manufacturing departments.
  • Lead, coach, and develop production teams while promoting a strong culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
  • Execute production schedules to meet customer deadlines and maximize efficiency.
  • Monitor labor, productivity, workflow, and operational costs.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Production teams to improve processes and reduce costs.
  • Oversee employee training, performance management, scheduling, and workforce planning.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong background in metal fabrication, machining, or industrial manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret production drawings and manufacturing documentation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and manufacturing/ERP software.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
