Production Manager – Dairy Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production operations, overseeing supervisors and production teams to meet customer requirements while achieving cost, quality, and safety objectives

• Monitor operational performance and key metrics, identify deficiencies, resolve production issues, and drive improvements in efficiency and cost control

• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with company policies, GMPs, food safety, sanitation, quality, and regulatory requirements

• Promote a safe and compliant workplace by supporting safety programs, maintaining readiness for regulatory inspections, and ensuring adherence to company, state, and federal safety requirements

• Manage and develop production employees, including recruiting, scheduling, training, performance evaluations, discipline, and employee relations in partnership with HR and plant leadership

• Support overall plant administration and communication, including management meetings, inventory and purchasing oversight, operational reporting, and clear communication of policies and priorities to employees

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred

• 5–8 years of experience in a dairy manufacturing environment

• Proven supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing setting

• Strong background in leading teams and supporting manufacturing operations

• Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications and/or licenses during employment

Salary: $90K - $100K
